St. Mary of Magdala Parish Commemorates her Patron Saint

20170809025317 The church of St. Mary of Magdala in Kilometer 11, celebrated the feast of St. Mary Magdalene the patron Saint of its church. Parishioners believe that this is a place, where the Saint takes care of and intercedes for the Church.

The celebration was held in Svay Pak village, Phnom Penh’s Russey Keo district on the 16th of July 2017 with Bishop Olivier Schmittaeusler as the main celebrant of the Holy Eucharist. The event saw many Catholics from other parishes attending.

Three parents of children living with disabilities shared the concern about their children’s learning and requested for more school for them who need special need, care and support for their education.

Mr. Sor Chan Rithy, 61, a father of a child with Autism spoke about parenting’s experiences, struggling, and support his family has given to his son. Life was tough to get to know that their child is diagnosed Autistic but nothing can change.
